PRODUCT OVERVIEW

The smart-home brain, on your own network

HA Box is conceived as a preconfigured local smart-home server that brings devices, dashboards and automations together without making cloud services a requirement for basic operation. It is a separate product from SmartHub 16: HA Box hosts the automation platform; SmartHub 16 connects physical inputs and outputs.

Software

Local automation, centralized management

Home Assistant provides a central interface for supported smart-home integrations, dashboards, scenes and automation rules. Individual integrations depend on compatible hardware and configuration; the concept does not imply that every device or protocol is supported out of the box.

SYSTEM INTEGRATION

HA Box + SmartHub 16

HA Box provides the local automation and user interface. SmartHub 16 is the separate ESP32-based Ethernet/PoE controller that handles wired switches and outputs. The two can work together over the local network.

ENGINEERING SCOPE

What needs to be validated

  • Storage reliability and backup / recovery procedures
  • Cooling, airflow, acoustic and enclosure fit checks
  • Power-loss recovery, network setup and onboarding
  • Long-duration stability and update / maintenance workflow
  • Security hardening, support boundaries and product documentation

DEVELOPMENT STATUS

Prototype roadmap, not a shipping appliance

The architecture and Standard/Premium configurations are design targets. No production certification, published benchmark, shipping date or fully validated turnkey installation is claimed on this page. Product imagery is conceptual.
